KONVOLUT
ENSEMBLE, ELECTRONICS
Konvolut is based on a collection of sounds that I recorded while travelling through Amsterdam, Tallinn, Budapest, Rome, Porto and Berlin. For some acoustic reasons, they caught my attention, due to their roughness, rhythm, harmonic content, noisyness or some recognizable pitch. They were transcripted to music notation to be played by the acoustic instruments, or are they are simply reproduced “as they are” through the loudspeakers in the concert hall. In the middle of the piece, there is a section called “youtube most seen”, a parody around ideas and modes of the digital and global world.
Konvolut is also a piece that concerns the acoustic reality and its mimetic relation of proximity / distance between the original and its copy.
